On July 24, 2023, the Management Executive Committee of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission (GECEX) issued Resolution No. 497 of 2023, making a positive final ruling on the sunset review of anti-dumping on seamless carbon steel pipes (Portuguese: tubos de a ç o carbono, sem costura, de condeu çã o (line pipe)) originating from China and Romania. It was decided to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the above-mentioned countries for a period of 5 years, at a rate of $743.00 per ton for China and $75.11 per ton for Romania. The product in question is a seamless carbon steel pipe (pipeline pipe) with a diameter not exceeding 5 inches (141.3 millimeters), used for oil and gas pipelines, and involves products under the tax number 7304.19.00.
